There is a limit of two Winter 2012 C leagues players per D league team.

B league teams may not have more than 2 current college roller and/or ice hockey players.

All leagues except for the B league will have a three goal limit per game per player.  A fourth goal by an individual player will result in a delay of game penalty and the goal will not count. What would be a fifth goal will result in a 10 minute misconduct penalty.

If a player receives 3 minor penalties in a game they will be given a game misconduct.  If a player receives a 4th minor penalty in a game they will be given a game misconduct AND suspended for a game.

We do not accept individual registrations.  Go to our message board if you're looking for a team or players.

You must be at least 18 years of age to play in the adult leagues.

A maximum of 14 teams in D and E leagues..  The first 14 teams registered for a league will be accepted for that league.

A maximum of 14 teams total in B and C leagues.

You must goto the scorer's table and put an X by your name if you are playing that night.  If you're wearing a different number than listed put your new number in the box instead of an X.  You must play in one of the first six regular season games to be eligible for the 2nd half of the session and you must play in at least six games to be eligible for the playoffs.  If goaltenders decide to "skate out" they must do so in one of the first six games to be eligible to do so during the last six games.  They must also "skate out" in at least six games to be eligible to "skate out" during the playoffs (providing all other eligibility rules are followed). If you don't sign in, you will not be considered in the game. Any player taking the court that isn’t checked in on the scoresheet will receive a two minute delay of game penalty. If a player is checked in but not on the bench, the team will receive a two minute unsportsmanlike penalty.

E league is a "developmental" league for people learning how to play the game.  Central Ohio Roller Hockey reserves the right to remove players from this league that are too advanced DURING THE SESSION.  Current E league teams will be notified by the Saturday after the session ends of players that will not be allowed to play in the E league in the future.  Goalies do not have to wear skates in E or D leagues.

Games will start as early as 6pm and as late as 11:00pm week nights.  Games will be two 20 minute halves with one 60 second intermission, one 30 second timeout per team per game, 3 minutes between each game.  Games may start up to 10 minutes early and game time is forfeit time.

You must have 2 skaters and a goaltender on the court to start play.   If your goaltender isn't ready by the start of the game, you may substitute a regular skater until your goalie is dressed.  Goaltender must be on the court (or in the bench area ready to play) by the 15 minute mark (15 minutes left in the 1st half) or you'll forfeit the game. Games will not be played without goaltenders.  Goaltenders must be ready to play at the beginning of the 2nd half.

Leagues will play week nights only and if there is an odd number of teams in a league there will be double headers.

Players may not be on a roster for more than one team in a league.

We do not allow "substitute" players.  Once you play for a team, you're considered on their roster and you may not switch teams.

Goalies may play on as many teams as they like and in any division.

Jerseys must be the same basic color.  Example: if your team is orange, yellow jerseys don't match and will not be allowed.  Jerseys must have permanent numbers readable from half court (no taped on numbers).  If you need jerseys, let me know and we can order them for you (takes about a week) or you can get them off the internet.  We can iron on numbers for you for a buck a numeral.  NO TAPE NUMBERS.

Home team changes jerseys if there is a color conflict.  If you have the same color jerseys as another team in the league, get an alternate numbered jersey to wear.

Numbers - multiple players on a team may not have the same number (even if you have to change because of color conflict) and 03 is the same as 3.

Fighting rule - if you receive a fighting penalty, you will receive a 5 minute penalty, a game misconduct penalty and a 3 game suspension and possibly other penalties.  A second fight in a session will result in suspension for the rest of that session and the next session and possibly additional penalties.  Penalties are doubled during playoffs.

Major penalty - if you receive a major penalty, in addition to the 5 minute penalty, you will receive a game misconduct and at least a one game suspension.

Equipment - You must wear shin guards, elbow pads, pants or hockey socks covering your shin guards, HECC helmet with a functioning chin strap that must be fastenened.  We strongly encourage everybody to wear a mouthguard, a full cage/shield on your helmet, cup/pelvic protector and girdle.  Your jersey sleeves must cover your elbow pads.  Skates must have the appropriate number of wheels (if your skate is designed for 4 wheels you must have all four wheels installed) for the entire game..

Tobacco products are NOT ALLOWED in the building, on the front walkway area or on either of the decks on the side of the building.

Alcohol is not permitted in the building or parking lot.  Consuming alcohol on the property will result in a year long suspension.

Do not climb over the wall between the penalty box and the players bench.  If you do this, you will be assessed a 2 minute penalty.  After your penalty expires, go to the floor, then your bench.

Do not bang your stick on the floor, boards, glass or goals.  A 10 minute misconduct penalty will be given for not honoring this request.

Experience has proven that it is impossible to anticipate all situations which may arise when rules are formulated and adopted.  Therefore, Central Ohio Roller Hockey reserves teh right to waive any rule governing play in any league when in CORH's judgment, the application of said rule will result in gross unfairness and unreasonable hardship.

Remember, our primary goal is for you to have fun - please help us accomplish this.
