    looking for advice/direction

I used to play all the time with mybrothers, but never any official leagues.  I moved away to college and stopped playing for a couple of years.  But I'm looking to pick it back up full time.  What I'm hoping to get is advice on where to go to get gear and where to practice?

I'm not exactly looking for a team as of yet though, since i will prolly need a couple seasons of practice until im ready.

post here or if you want to get a hold of me faster:

    any advice is appreciated, thanks

    Re: looking for advice/direction

Dude, dont worry about it. Sign up to join an E-league team and practice whenever you can. I would say Drop-In's on friday's but there not exactly the best place for a novice to get back into hockey again. Just be sure whatever team you sign up with know's about your skill level and you'll be fine. Unfortunatly we just started a new session so it might be hard to hook up with a team until its over in late June.

As for equipment it depends what you need. For skates you can always try Hockey Stop off Bethel or one of the many inline hockey websites. Personally I like to see/feel/test something like that before I buy but you will probably find the best prices online. If you dont mind that its not brand new you can try Play-It-Again sports off sawmill/hard (there are other locations aswell), you have to watch what your getting and make sure the condition of the equipment is good enough. I got my Bauer gloves there for 20$, but they were almost new condition and retailed for alot more. They sell shin gaurds/elbow pads/chest protectors/etc... From what Ive seen of their inline skate selection it isnt that great. As with any equipment you buy, if you will find it online cheaper. Goodluck.

I am kind of in the same boat, I played in a high school league my senior year and learned a lot as well as improved greatly from where I started.  I am in college now and havent played since 2004.  I would really like to get some practice in and play some leagues.  I still have all my gear.  Any direction or advice would be helpful as well.

You can email me at dmcaddell@cinci.rr.com

    Thanks,
